Summer in the City

Hot Harley Nights, Hot Summer Nites and JazzFest heat up the city with excitement by attracting tens of thousands of people to the region every year in July. Whether it’s music, motorcycles, corvettes, or great food and entertainment – there is something for everyone to enjoy!

Hot Harley Nights benefits the Make-A-Wish Foundation of South Dakota. This event has quickly become the hottest motorcycle event of the region – attracting participants from 16 states in 2007. Hot Harley Nights includes live music, a casino run, motorcycle parade, motorcycle show, live and silent auctions, raffles, great food, refreshments and thousands of gorgeous motorcycles.

Hot Summer Nites is an annual event that began in 1993. The event brings together Corvette and Harley-Davidson enthusiast from all over the United States. The event is Free, fun and family-oriented. Well over 1000 corvettes and 500 Harley’s line the streets of Phillips Avenue from 5-10 p.m.

JazzFest is one of the largest jazz and blues festivals in the Midwest. It is a two-day outdoor musical event, featuring two stages and is free to the public. At JazzFest 2007 an estimated 95,000 enjoyed the music, sun, food and people watching.
